The Department of Commerce had advised the Club that all incorporated associations need to review and if necessary update their rules (often known as the constitution) by 1 July 2019. The Department recommends that associations start the review process now and this newsletter outlines the steps to follow and the resources available to assist associations to complete this change of rules.
To this end the Club committee has reviewed the Club rules and made the required changes. These are documented on the first page of the draft rules at items A through E. The remainder of the rules are unchanged from the standard rules that apply to all associations. Read the draft rules now.
At the April meeting we will vote to approve these changes. Please take the time to review the rules and raise any concerns with the committee.
